The DB2 was one of the first production cars built by Aston Martin and evolved from an endurance race car. The production version was designed by Frank Freeley and was first introduced at the New York Motor Show in April 1950. The two DB2 featured a 2.3-liter twin overhead cam straight-6 Lagonda engine while the race car featured a 2.6-liter engine. The DB2 was also an extremely successful racing car.
