The Lamborghini Diablo is a high-performance mid-engined sports car that was first introduced in 1990 as the successor to the Lamborghini Countach. A limited edition, lighter variant named the Lamborghini Diablo SE (Special Edition), was introduced in 1994 to celebrate Lamborghini's 30th anniversary. In 1995 the Lamborghini Diablo SV (Super Veloce) variant was an introduced with a revised dashboard, larger brakes, a new 3-piece adjustable spoiler and a more powerful engine. In 1999 the Diablo range received a facelift and the addition of the Lamborghini Diablo GT that featured a more powerful 6.0-Liter V12 engine, larger brakes and a lower suspension. This was followed by the Lamborghini Diablo GTR, a race-ready version of the Diablo GT. The Lamborghini Diablo was replaced in 2001 by the Lamborghini Murciélago.
